In his work, Fernando Sánchez Castillo explores the relationship between art and political power. He does so in a playful and often ironic way, while maintaining a strong sense of social engagement.

He is particularly interested in Spanish history, especially the Civil War, the post-war period, and the dictatorship. From this historical context, he also reflects on the present. He is not only concerned with political and revolutionary events, but also with how such periods continue to shape people’s lives and society. According to him, collective memory does not stop at national borders and continues to influence the present day.

This programme is hosted by Julian Hetzel.
