Early one December morning in 2024, Luigi Mangione shot a CEO dead and became an internet sensation. A 'bad boy', violent, dangerous, but also irresistibly exciting. A sex symbol.

Why do we fall for danger? What is it about people who destroy that makes them attractive to us? And what does that say about how we love?  
 
In HIT ME, Just van Bommel explores the thin, explosive boundary between attraction and violence. Like an erotic boxing match that puts our body to the ultimate test. Where a stranglehold almost makes us pass out – but could just as easily end in a kiss. Where pain and pleasure flow into one another and desire flirts with destruction. Just digs into the paradox of our desires; raw, confrontational, up close and uncomfortably personal.

About Just van Bommel  

Just takes personal, everyday events as the springboard for investigations into bigger social issues. They graduated in performance from Toneelacademie Maastricht institute of performing arts in 2022 and have been affiliated to Frascati Producties since 2022, where they have made A divine aversion to DYING, Het Spektakeltje and DEAR FRAIL MALE (nominated for the BNG Theatre Award. During the 25-26 season, they are performing in Pride & Prejudice (Theater Oostpool, directed by Florian Myjer).
