Two lovers wash up on the shore. In their attempt to care for each other, they discover that their experiences of the accident are completely different from each other.

Inspired by the lovers’ myth of Orpheus and Euridice, Uur Blauw is an intimate portrait of two women’s love, and their attempt to process paralysing pain. Uur Blauw is a plea for the creation of alternative realities to be able to deal with the crushing weight and cruelty of simple human existence.

Uur Blauw is the graduation work of Lina Heijmans from the BA Drama and Contemporary Music Theat

Over Lina Heijmans

Lina Heijmans is student aan de Amsterdamse Theaterschool en Kleinkunst Academie. Tijdens haar afstudeerjaar heeft ze als makende speler onderzoek gedaan naar de rol van maskers en rituelen in relatie tot de ander en de ruimte om hen heen. Voor haar afstudeervoorstelling past ze haar bevindingen toe in haar rol als actrice. In haar zoektocht naar verbinding in radicale zachtheid is Lina een samenwerking met Erasmus en Amarenske aangegaan. Samen met de tekst van Zinnie Harris gaat ze spelen met de kwetsbare kanten van het mens-zijn.
