This edition of Under Construction consists of four performances by emerging makers. The evening starts in Frascati 2.

RAMLET - Ramez Basheer

In this autobiographical theatre piece, Ramez shares his personal story about identity, self-acceptance, and the power of choosing your own path. What does it mean to be yourself while the world keeps redefining you? His story offers no clear explanation or conclusion, but rather an exercise filled with self-mockery, absurdity, tender doubt, and unexpected humor. An invitation to laugh, to listen, and to question, not to understand or resolve.

Circle of Life - Talitha Marsman Ruiz

Talitha guides you along her shamanic path of reconnection. She opens her heart and circle of ancestors to call on YOU to remember y/our true nature, which is NOT one of destruction and separation. This journey affirms that nothing is ever truly lost in the context of coloniality. Your ancestors, lands, plants, animals, people, practices, languages, rituals, cosmos, are looking for you and urgently calling on you to welcome you back home.

The Bad Feminist Manifesto - Isabelle Cox

A young woman, drunk, stranded at a bus stop after a wild night out, desperately trying not to go home alone. Addressing the audience as fellow passengers, she flirts, jokes, and provokes  until slowly, comforted by the dark early morning hours, she reveals what she’s been running from.

KELDER - Kraai Collective

An interdisciplinary theatre show in which hip-hop and theatre come together. Experience how male friendship can be both the most beautiful and the most painful at the same time. We follow three young men who share not only a home, but also a love for hip-hop. When Donnie stops speaking as he grieves his mother, their underlying tensions begin to surface. Will their friendship break, or will it bring them closer together?

About Ramez Basheer

Ramez is a Palestinian-Syrian-Dutch actor and theatre maker working across theatre, television, and film, based in the Netherlands since 2015. He began his career in Syria, appearing in various series. In the Netherlands, he has worked with companies including BOG., Wunderbaum, and Theater Oostpool, and created performances such as Talent on the Run and Kringloop de Hoop. In 2025, he graduated from ArtEZ University of the Arts with his solo performance Ramlet, selected for Het Debuut by Via Rudolphi, and won Best Actor at the FIESAD festival in Rabat.

About Talitha Marsman Ruiz

Talitha/Strea/Awa, born on Curaçao, and from the Andes, is a medicine woman who resurrects what is suppressed by colonial and sexual violence. She has remembered her ancestral gifts and power. This expansiveness enabled her to retrieve her own soul in June 2025, from having lived in a dissociative identity for seven years due to r*pe. Strea co-creates with her ancestral knowledge and relations by way of careful and playful listening, ritual, the written and spoken word, papermaking with the Banana Plant and the Agave plant, and visual, installation, and performance art.

About Isabelle Cox

Isabelle is an actress, theatre maker, and historian with Dominican-Dutch roots. With her first original work, she aims to bring female characters with a sharp edge to the stage. Her acting is characterized by a combination of intensity, unpredictability, and comedy. Much of her inspiration for The Bad Feminist Manifesto stems from her love of British theatre.

About Kraai Collective

Kraai Collective is an interdisciplinary collective that brings together hip-hop and theatre, two cultures and genres that can strongly reinforce each other. Artistic director Joris Buizer and musical director Thomas Lotgering surround themselves with makers from both worlds. They create theatre, dance, and music, and build community.
