The Artists Are Present. And Have No Shame.

tThe new generation of artists present themselves to the public and share the floor with each other.

The Artists Are Present. And Have No Shame. is the two-day festival by ICK Dans Amsterdam where established artists and a new generation of makers present themselves to the public and share the stage with one another.

On Tuesday, May 19 and Wednesday, May 20, you will participate with inspiring dance and performance makers in a dynamic program full of performances, installations, pop-ups, and conversations.

Shame on stage is not a weakness, but a sign that something real is happening. Performers show their bodies as they are: powerful and vulnerable. They openly share their flaws, elevating the audience in the process. In a world that distrusts their art, they declare it essential. Where others fix identity, they open up new possibilities. While technology pervades everything, they seek humanity. Dancing bodies address the other, resist war, question gender, and enter into relationships with AI. They follow intuition as a radical choice to resist and surprise, here and now. The Artists Are Present. And Have No Shame.

The new makers and collectives you will discover during The Artists Are Present, and Have No Shame are: Thais di Marco, Lucinda Wessels, Liza Sulaiman, and ICK Colective.
