Luku Xam is an interdisciplinary Afro-futuristic storytelling collective. We are an establishment founded by Jomecia, Joanne and Myra Fanta, three artists with backgrounds in performance, dance and theater.
LUKU, means looking in Sranantongo. Through truly looking we connect past, present, and future. Xam means knowledge in Wolof. Inspired by Sankofa, it values drawing wisdom from history, moving forward with purpose.
