Ainhoa Hernandez Escudero
Verbond-maker
Ainhoa Hernandez Escudero is a multidisciplinary artist and cultural worker from Carabanchel, Madrid, currently based in Amsterdam. Their work braids together drag, dance, theatre, and emerging technologies. They work with speculative tools to reimagine belonging and grieve inherited structures.
They are part of the drag king House of Lostbøis, and of The Artists Circle: a growing network of artists, cultural professionals, and allies who are collectively developing new strategies to support independent makers in dance and performance in Amsterdam.
Trained in theatre, dance, circus, and philosophy, with MAs from DAS Theatre and the Reina Sofía Museum, she approaches performance as a site where embodied and speculative knowledge meet. Her work is supported by SPRING Festival and has been presented internationally at venues such as Grec Festival, Tanzquartier, Frascati, Bâtard Festival, CA2M, Gessnerallee, CPR NY, and Museo del Chopo.
