Naomi Steijger

Naomi Steijger graduated in 2019 from the directing program at Theatre Academy Maastricht. In her work, she experiments with the human voice, conversations/interviews, documentary elements, and music. Through this, she creates compelling, yet disarming and sensitive listening experiences, at the intersection of poetry and documentary. In october 2025 her latest podcast series, De zeven levens van Betty was released on Podimo. Additionally, she works at the Erotic Museum in the Red Light District, where her latest podcast also takes place.
She worked as a theatre maker with Frascati from 2019, where she created with Timo Tembuyser their project Stemmen uit Beton. In 2022 she created also with Frascati 99 dromen; an audio installation in the streets of Amsterdam. In october 2023 her four-part, award-winning podcast series Zwermelingen (VPRO) was published.
