Myra Fanta Bodian

Myra Fanta Bodian is a Senegalese-Dutch theater and film director, educator and curator. Fanta’s work explores the intersections of cultural identity, decolonization, gender and ancestral stories through visual storytelling and performance. She explores the function of West-African storytelling and the impact of colonization on African and Afro-diaspora culture.
Myra currently works as a theater and theater history -teacher at Fontys Academy of Arts. Other organisations they work with or have worked with are: Oostpool, Frascati, Het Zuidelijk Toneel, Theater Festival Boulevard, ArtEZ, Maas Theater en Dans, The Need For Legacy (ITA) and more. Her work centralizes the process of breaking free from conditioning.
