Florian Myjer nominated for a Theo D'Or
Former Frascati maker Florian Myjer has been nominated for a Theo d'Or for his role in The Actor. He is in the running for an award in the category most impressive performance in a leading role.
According to the jury, Florian is an exceptional actor who switches between different roles, voices and emotions at a lightning speed.
He dares to exaggerate, to search, to almost go off the rails, but always maintains contact with something authentic and fragile. It is above all the openness with which Myjer reveals himself that moves you. He shows the doubt, the loneliness and the longing to be seen. What stays with you is how Myjer, with all his bravado and vulnerability, fully dares to show himself. In doing so, he lets all facets of both the actor and the person shine.
His show The Actor is directed by fellow former Frascati maker Floor Houwink ten Cate. She also directed Sarah Janneh in the show Brabo Leone, and Sarah has been nominated for that role in the category most boundary-pushing stage performance.
