You step into the unknown with your eyes closed. You don't know where you're going, but you keep walking. With every step, the world around you falls further away. Until all you have left is a hand to hold on to. How do you surrender to what you cannot see?

Passing on is a journey to the edge of life. Together with someone you don't know, you explore the no man's land we enter when we die. You move between control and surrender, between holding on and letting go.

It is an intimate encounter with death - in the other and in yourself. A consoling experience in which life is passed from hand to hand. Become part of a chain of people who will never see one another, yet carry each other through.

Over Bart van de Woestijne

Bart van de Woestijne is ervaringsmaker. Door zintuiglijke, fysieke ervaringen maakt hij thema's als sterfelijkheid, eenzaamheid en identiteit tastbaar en onontkoombaar. Het publiek is altijd actief onderdeel van zijn werk. Hij stond eerder op Oerol met onder andere Zombie en In order of disappearance, waarvoor hij de Joop Mulder Plak won. Momenteel verdiept hij zich in de uitvaartpraktijk, met als doel de dood terug in het leven te plaatsen.
