VSCD Mime/Performance Prijs to Shaking shame

At the Gala of Dutch Theatre on Sunday evening, the VSCD Mime/Performance Award was presented to Shaking shame. The physical performance by Melyn Chow / Frascati Producties, in co-production with CAMPO, was praised for its raw yet poetic exploration of themes such as cultural identity, shame, and bodily autonomy.

With this award, the VSCD not only highlights the importance of artistic innovation within the performing arts, but also acknowledges the rise of a new generation of makers who dare to transform personal stories into collective experiences.

Other nominees included the Frascati Producties on almost every page by Gerben Vaillant, and We’re all alone in this together by Kim Karssen. The latter will be performed at Frascati from Friday 19 to Sunday 21 September.

In the meantime, Melyn is working on a new project and will premiere her third Frascati production at Frascati in January 2026.
