Frascati showcases emerging makers.
Within projects such as Beginnings and Under Construction by Frascati Producties, emerging makers are given space and guidance to further develop their artistic practice. But it doesn’t stop there — Frascati also provides a stage for the new generation of theatre makers within its programming.
This autumn, we’re highlighting six remarkable performances that show how powerful, raw, and surprising the work of new makers can be.
The Original - Sîpan Sezgin Tekin | Wed 22 & Thu Oct 23
During Beginnings in February, Sîpan was already involved with Frascati Producties. Now he returns with The Original, in which he explores how identity is constantly being shaped, distorted, and repeated — not only by oneself but also by the world around us. In a physical and poetic performance, Sîpan doesn’t answer the question “Who am I?” — instead, he cracks it wide open.
Double Bill: BuryaK / Hierna zal ik een berg zijn... een simpele kutberg - Ida Osten & Sofiia Butiaga / Eva Nova Gebbinck | Sat 25 & Sun Oct 26
This double bill presents two graduation performances by Eva Nova Gebbinck and Ida Osten together with Sofiia Butiaga. Both works explore entanglement and resistance — the struggle to break free from what shapes you, only to discover that the bond never truly disappears.

MUGISHA, when a grape gets through the crushing - Roy Morello Kaneza | Wed 19 & Thu Nov 20
Roy Morello Kaneza previously appeared as part of the collective N.O.B. in Under Construction by Frascati Producties. Under the direction of Catoo Lustig, Roy now presents his graduation performance — an intimate solo about identity, heritage, and the legacy of a past you didn’t choose yourself. A hopeful dystopia about someone who refuses to be consumed by the maze of their origins, but instead fights to break through it.

BEAUTYBOMB - Catoo Lustig / Damaris de Jong / Theatergroep Suburbia | Fr Oct 31 & Sat Nov 1
In Beginnings (2023), Catoo began developing BEAUTYBOMB at Frascati Producties. The now fully realized performance follows an otherworldly influencer who evolves into something greater, more radical, and more dangerous than herself. BEAUTYBOMB exposes how beauty standards, digital filters, and social expectations shape a body that must be visible in order to exist.

It’s a feeling 2 - Pensive Vivifier in coproductie met Frascati Producties | Wed 19 till Sat Nov 22
After their award-winning performance Love is Abundant (Fringe at Best Award 2024), Pensive Vivifier returns with a new work co-produced by Frascati Producties. It’s a feeling 2 is an exploration of what it means to exist in a world that often feels too fast, too loud, or too much. A collage of emotions, memories, and physical reactions that resist being neatly arranged.
Heart Brake - Giulia Damiani | Wed 3 till Fri Dec 5
What does it mean to break, and to find strength in that break? With stones, drums, and their voices, Giulia Damiani and Luísa Saraiva present Heart Brake — a ritualistic concert, a protest, and an ode to those who don’t fit within existing boundaries.
