What if imagination could be materialised, if one’s inner life could be lifted from one mind and transplanted into another? Which experiences would we choose to pass on?

TILT and the Premonitions Agency are opening a new operational laboratory at Frascati. Field Agents will be working on site, extracting, embodying and materialising dreams in real time and transplanting them into Sleepers aboard the Lunaris spaceship, a vessel travelling endlessly through the cosmos, populated by inhabitants who sleep their entire lives, generation after generation. The dreams we transmit provide the only form of life they know.

The new transmedia performance Lunaris: Spaceship City is part of LUNARIS, a performative-cinematic multiverse developed by TILT in collaboration with the Premonitions Agency. This specufictional organisation collects dreams from people of various backgrounds and intervenes in them to influence waking reality. Dreams are treated as cultural archives where personal, social and political tensions emerge in dream-logic form; and where identities, bodies and spacetime are fluent, multiple and constantly renegotiated.

The LUNARIS world encompasses performances, installations and a growing dream archive, exploring the intersections of spectatorship, imagination and digital transformation, and the questions of free will, agency and sentience within that arise with it. Through performance, video projections and soundscape, the stage becomes a labyrinthine, painterly environment where physical, virtual and imaginary spaces constantly rearrange each other.

The transplantation process is ongoing and in Frascati the Lunaris spaceship will open its doors to the public through a quantum-link.

About TILT

TILT is an Amsterdam-based in-disciplinary arts platform with a focus on the creation and dissemination of performance and visual arts works by choreographer and artist Andrea Božić and visual artist and performance maker Julia Willms, and associate artist - theatre and performance artist Billy Mullaney.

Andrea and Julia have collaborated since 2003 making interdisciplinary works that re-organize space, attention and perception, exploring how spectatorship, imagination and spectacle are intertwined, embodied and felt in the eras of globalism and digitalisation. They work with the larger space and the visitor's presence as part of the work, combining dream logic and gameplay, cosmology, quantum physics, and mysticism to make playful performances and audio-visual installations often in collaboration with the weather and night sky.
