The renowned Do not look back with regret by director Davy Pieters returns in theaters after being nominated for the VSCD Mime Award in 2021.

The jury wrote at the time: "The imagery is refined and overwhelming: cinematic scenes, black outs that make time jump, a continuous snowfall of black ash, and the magical lighting by Varja Klosse. The soundscape by Jimi Zoet tingles and thunders. It is an intimate togetherness and a poignant farewell." In Do not look back with regret, Pieters explores the vulnerability of the body and life on earth with her distinctive signature.

In this visual and cinematic performance, we see two women (played by Irene Schaltegger and Klára Alexová) in a process of farewell, grief, and in search for comfort. What if you are confronted with loss? Where is your refuge if the end is in sight? Do not look back with regret offers the opportunity to pause and reflect on loss and the finitude of everything.
