WhyNot x ADE presents OFFVENUE

Between October 17 and 24, WhyNot, in collaboration with ADE, presents OFFVENUE. A project that brings dance, theatre, and performance to unexpected places throughout the city.

Following various routes through urban space, you’ll be guided to surprising locations and encounter short performances along the way. Because these unique spots normally don’t function as stages, OFFVENUE becomes a visual and physical experience you won’t want to miss. In addition to hidden locations, the program also offers raw sketches and diverse, in-progress works.

The program also includes two workshops. On Friday, October 17, performer and pole dancer Sofie Kramer will lead the workshop Sensual Body Awareness at Dance Space Destiny, Rhoneweg 10. Tap into your sensual side to sink deeper into your body.

On Wednesday, October 22, choreographer Elisa Zuppini hosts a workshop at Frascati Studio 1, Nes 71, based on her ensemble piece Disambiguation, which premiered at Frascati in May. She will introduce participants to the principles of her movement practice, focusing on decentralized relational systems and imagining the body as a sensitive entity with distributed control across multiple, movable centers.
