Choreographer Andrea Božić creates intelligent, playful, philosophical performances that pleasantly disrupt perceptions. Intergalactic was inspired by the famous story Tlön Uqbar, Orbis Tertius by Jorge Luis Borges. In Intergalactic too, reality is being manipulated. De theater space becomes a living organism that breathes, moves and speaks. When it speaks, its language is part sound part image part darkness. Have an intergalactic trip in your comfy chair
Intergalactic is the first production of Stichting Tilt, a platform founded by Andrea Božić, Robert Pravda and Julia Willms to promote interdisciplinary work and thought. Andrea Božić (NL/HR) has been working at Frascati since 2003. She is regarded as a pioneer in the Netherlands and overseas due to her interdisciplinary approach. Since 2010, her work has been co-produced by Frascati and Emio Greco Ι PC, where she was an artist in residence. In 2011, both houses produced her fascinating performance Mars Landing, commissioned by the Rathenau Institute. In April 2013, her performance Lithium can be seen again at Frascati. Visual artist Julia Willms (D/NL) studies the nature of looking in her work. She creates works including video installations, photographs and drawings. Sound artist Robert Pravda (NL/RS) developed into an experimental sound artist and composer during numerous collaborations and currently occupies a number of posts, including that of lecturer in the ArtScience interfaculty at the Royal Academy of Art in The Hague.
