In four days #empathyporn presents a series of live performances, installations, lectures, encounters and a wild party to give an insight into the universe of an artist that has created controversial and thought provoking work in the field of performing arts.
#empathyporn takes over Frascati, presents a preview of Hetzel’s newest creation SELF (2019), the perfomance The Automated Sniper (2017) and All Inclusive (2018). These three works will be contextualised through various formats, and the research around the projects will be shared with the public.

Julian Hetzel works as performance maker, musician and visual artist. He develops works along the intersection of theatre, music and media that have a political dimension and a documentary approach. His works are produced and presented internationally. In 2017 Hetzel received the VSCD-Mimeprijs for The Automated Sniper (Frascati Producties). Platform Scenography recently selected SELF by Julian Hetzel to become the Dutch national entry for the Prague Quadrennial 2019.
Julian Hetzel is born in the Black Forest (DE). He studied at Bauhaus University Weimar with a focus on visual communication. In 2013 he graduated at DasArts Amsterdam.
